Visit to Huis van de Mens in Ieper, palliative care organisation, 3rd October 2019

The participants of the blended learning mobility went to the “Huis van de Mens Ieper”, where they were welcomed by Mrs. Lore Alleman. She provided information about their services, the importance of the communication at the end of life, how volunteers / care providers are involved in the communication with clients at the end of their life, and euthanasia.

The organisation is providing advanced care with the support of LEIF (Levens Einde Informatie Forum). They regularly train doctors, health care practitioners, and they have a telephone line for anyone with questions about end of life, called the LEIF-line.
